Crescenta Valley Soccer Club (CVSC) is pleased to announce a partnership with Global Premier Soccer (GPS), one of the largest youth soccer organizations in the USA. As part of GPS being the official North American Youth partner of FC Bayern Munich, effective immediately CVSC will now have exclusive access to the FC Bayern Munich brand as part of the GPS network of clubs.
Founded in 2001 and serving over 600 youth soccer players, CVSC is one of the fastest growing clubs in Southern California. They offer a year-round competitive youth soccer program for boys and girls. CVSC competes in the most competitive league and tournaments in North America.
GPS signed their exclusive North American partnership with FC Bayern in 2014 and the Massachusetts based organization currently operates programming in thirteen states and territories, with FC Bayern affiliates in a further six states. Founded in 2001, GPS currently has 7,500 active players in the organization and has been awarded Generation adidas status.
As part of the agreement, coaches from CVSC will have access to the FC Bayern curriculum and the FC Bayern Academy player development methodology. This will include interaction with the Youth Academy Staff of FC Bayern on a monthly basis, as well as annual technical visits to FC Bayern. All players will also have the honor of wearing the famed FC Bayern uniform.
Reggie Rivas, CVSC Founder and Director of Operations, commented "It is an important partnership because we now will have access to FC Bayern Munich's curriculum and coaches. As we all know, this is one of the world's greatest soccer clubs. I am always looking for ways to educate and improve players and coaches at CVSC. This partnership with FC Bayern and GPS is going to make each individual player and coach better, which will ultimately improve every team at CVSC."
"We are excited to announce our partnership with Crescenta Valley SC," said GPS California Director Lonnee Richardson. "We look forward to a long and successful collaboration for the betterment of player development in the Southern California area," said Richardson.
CVSC will run a FC Bayern Player ID program for Boys and Girls beginning this spring to identify top talent in the LA area. The best players from the ID program will be selected to attend the yearly FC Bayern Residential camp coached by FC Bayern Academy staff with the best players from that camp being sent on an official trial to FC Bayern.
